First Baptist Montgomery’s Sunday Night Apologetics Series
Tonight, while much of the world was focused on the Super Bowl, the members of First Baptist Montgomery demonstrated a deeper commitment—gathering to study, learn, and engage with the great questions of faith through our new 9-week apologetics, philosophy, and evangelism series: Engage.
Like the Berean church in Acts 17:11, who were commended for their eagerness to examine the Scriptures daily to discern the truth, our church family is showing a hunger for knowledge, a desire to strengthen their faith, and a willingness to equip themselves for gospel conversations in today’s world. In an age where truth is often questioned and faith is challenged, we are coming together to think deeply, reason clearly, and grow in confidence as ambassadors for Christ.
This 9-week journey is more than just an academic exercise—it’s about preparing our hearts and minds to love God with all our strength, soul, and mind (Mark 12:30) and to always be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). Each week, we will tackle key topics like worldview, the problem of evil, the reliability of Scripture, and how to share the gospel effectively in today’s culture.
We are so encouraged by those who came out tonight, sacrificing time from the distractions of the world to pursue something lasting and eternal.
