It’s going to be a busy start to 2014 for Tactical Faith. In addition to pushing out the new website this past week, we’ve got 3 events in the span of just a few weeks:
- Matt and Scott Smith are down in New Orleans now preparing to live stream this year’s Defending the Faith conference. We love Bob Stewart and the guys at NOBTS. They’re all sweet people with sharp minds. You can see the stream starting tomorrow on our live stream page. The conference will last through the 10th. If you have an event you’d like to stream live, please contact us. It’s something new we’ve started doing.
- On January the 16th we will be hosting James Harleman at Mountain Chapel United Methodist church on Rocky Ridge Rd. in Vestavia, AL. Please come out and hear James if you can make it. He’s super. Johnny Gray and Pastor Parrish have been so great to work with. We can’t thank them enough.
- January 18th and 19th will be the 2014 SALT conference down in Montgomery, AL at First Baptist Church Montgomery. We’ve worked with FBCM numerous times and they’ve been awesome. This is the third time we’ve hosted a conference there and I think this one might end up being the best yet. You should really come out to this one if you can.
- February 4th-7th will be something unique that we’ve never done before. We’re calling it Miracles and Medicine. We are partnering with Beeson Divinity school in Homewood, AL to bring Dr. Craig Keener and Dr. Gary Habermas to Birmingham for a conference on the Miraculous. Protestant believers have always struggled with integrating a sound understanding of supernatural events into our faith, and we want to further Craig and Gary’s works on that topic. Come out to the conference at Beeson on the 4th or attend one of the other events that week at UAB. And, if you are a physician, please contact us for a special event we have planned. We will give a more detailed schedule as the date approaches, so keep an eye out for a schedule release from us.
